The most important part of achieving any successful nail design is having the right materials. For this tutorial, you’ll need a range of nail polish colors which includes red, green, white, black, beige, gold and light pink. You’ll also need a dotting tool and a striping brush.
To make it easier for you, we have split this guide into two tutorials; one for the face of the elf, and another for his body.
In the first tutorial, you will learn how to recreate a cute cartoon elf face using nail polish. The second tutorial is dedicated to creating an adorable outfit for your little elf.
Elf Face Nail Art Tutorial
Step 1
Start by prepping your

Then, use a tiny paintbrush along with the skin colour polish again to carefully draw two pointy ears and a neck onto each nail.

Pick up your red polish again and use it to paint the little rim of your elf’s hat.
Step 4
Take your green polish and paint the shape of the elf’s hat, with it draping down to his shoulder with a point.

Use a dotting tool dipped in bright yellow polish to create the bobble on the end of his hat.

Take your white polish and use the same dotting tool to create two whites of the eyes.

Then, use a light pink colored polish with a tiny paintbrush to paint the elf’s ear definition, mouth and nose.

Finally, use a tiny dotting tool with black polish to create the pupils in your elf’s eyes.
Elf Body Tutorial
Step 1
Start by painting your nail all over a bright green.

After that has dried, take a red polish and paint a spiky red collar to his top.
Step 3
With your metallic gold polish, draw a square on the middle of your nail for the elf’s belt buckle.
Step 4
Using the black polish, paint a stripe across the middle of your nail and through the buckle for the belt.

Finally, use a dotting tool again with the yellow polish to create his little buttons.
And voila, here’s what the final manicure looks like! For your remaining fingers, you can create a white and green striped design to compliment the elf by using a striping brush.
